Turkey for today
The Bernard Matthews Farms story began back in 1950. Today the company is global, producing 7 million turkeys every year in the UK, feeding them a strictly vegetarian diet from the company's own feed mills and rearing them on 56 farms throughout Norfolk, Suffolk and Lincolnshire.
During the 1970s, the company became known for innovation with its "added value" lines (such as the still-popular Golden Drummers®). Innovation is still key to the success of Bernard Matthews Farms products today, along with an on-going programme to reduce fat and salt levels across the entire foodservice range:
