Free-from but full of flavour
YouGov research* tells us 1 in 3 of all UK households (more than 22 million people) contains at least one person with a food intolerance or allergy. Some food allergies are life-threatening and in 2014 legislation came into force, making it a legal requirement to list any of the declared 14 allergens that may be present in food and drink products so consumers can make informed decisions about the food/drink they purchase. It is well-known free-from food is also bought by those wishing to make life-style changes as well as those medically diagnosed, which is why the free-from category continues to be the largest growing sector in the UK grocery market. Indeed according to Kantar over half of the population now buys free-from products.+
To help caterers provide for this requirement, we have developed our own-brand - KaterFree - range of free-from products. These items have been specially developed to be free-from specific allergens but without compromising on taste and flavour so will be enjoyed by everyone. See individual product details for information on which allergen has been removed.
